AE Pixel Sorter was the first tool to bring the pixel sorting glitch effect available for motion designers and video editors within After Effects. Experimenting with Pixel Sorting just became so much easier!
Since its launch, AEPS had a huge success in Broadcast TV, Live performances, VJs, Music Videos, Video Games, Photography and even Apparel!
I’m very happy to release the version 2 of the plugin, hoping it will push this effect much further by allowing you to create more innovative visuals. I’ve re-coded the core algorithm to make it faster and more intuitive. I’ve also added new creative and technical features to it.
Have fun sorting !
Watch Dogs 2
Ubisoft made an extensive use of AE Pixel Sorter in their trailers, cinematics and in-game UI.
Ghost in the Shell
Ash Thorp made a clever use of the plugin in his work for the feature film.
AEPS2 comes with a load of new features and improvements! For AEPSv1 users, you can upgrade for free if you purchased AE Pixel Sorter v1 after September 1st, 2018. If you purchased it before, you can upgrade for a very low price. Head over aescripts+aeplugins to see licensing options.
AEPS2 is faster than its predecessor due to the use of multi-threading and a new core algorithm.
Deep color modes
Now processes 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit floating points images.
Advanced, yet intuitive settings. AEPS2 is packed with a lot of new features that will help you create cooler animations and sorted visuals!
Plenty of features
Gradients, rotation, blocks, random length, feathers. Just a few examples of the new features, and it’s all keyframable 🙂
